Vinny Lodato enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Marymount men's lacrosse team in 2018, bringing a wealth of NCAA Division III playing experience and knowledge to the Saints' coaching lineup. Lodato, who was a faceoff specialist for the Saints several years back, has taken over the role as offensive coordinator in 2018.
A Marymount University product himself, Lodato left an indelible mark on the Saints' program. A four-year starter, the face-off specialist and attackman finished his career ranked top-3 in both face-off percentage and face-off wins (400). Lodato accrued 39 career points as a Saint - netting 25 goals and registering 14 assists, while also leading the team in groundballs in three of his four seasons.
Prior to Marymount, Lodato attended Jesuit High School in Tampa, Fla., where he collected First-Team All-WFLL and First-Team All-State accolades in 2010. He was named the JHS Offensive Player of the Year in 2009 before collecting Most Valuable Player honors in 2010. Lodato also helped coach the Tampa Bay Fire U13 Elite in 2012.
Lodato graduated from Marymount in 2014 with a degree in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Business and Psychology.
